about

This song was written for my high school friends who died in the Mexicana airplane crash (MX940) in 1986. The song comes from a poem written in 1988 titled "Dear George". With music made in 2021 these old lyrics got a new chance on life. And the memory of Mexico's worst air crash ever lives on through this song...

lyrics

MX940

Sometimes I wonder where you are
and when I do I think of you
many things happened since you left
it's the same old thing day after day
and I know that if I need you, you will still be there
for me

Oh can't you see that I'm standing
here in the cold without you
and if you see the light
please give me a sign
oh pray for me cause I
sure haven´t seen it yet

When the truth comes out and all our fears are gone
and hope is all that is left
what would you do? come on please tell me
what would you do?
will those who are guilty ever admit their blame
but now that you are gone there’s nothing left to do…

Oh can't you see that I'm standing
here in the cold without you
and if you see the light
please give me a sign
oh pray for me cause I
sure haven´t seen it yet

Oh can't you see that I'm standing
here in the cold without you
and if you see the light
please give me a sign
oh pray for me cause I
sure haven´t seen it yet
